If you love a healthy, creamy, citrusy, herby sauce that goes with everything and can be made in under two minutes, you'd need to try this Lemon Dill Sauce recipe. I use it with salmon, chicken, seafood, and even with roasted and fresh vegetables, and it's so good!
This recipe needs only a very few easy-to-find ingredients. You probably already have everything in your pantry (maybe except for fresh dill). You'd also need a blender, but you can make it with just whisking everything in a bowl as well. I hope you give this super versatile Lemon Dill Sauce recipe a try.
I made this recipe the way me and my family likes it. You can easily adjust the taste to your liking. For example, I don't like when it's overly sour or citrous so I use a little bit of honey to balance the sourness. It's still zesty of course but not too much. But if you're a person who'd like the lemon dill sauce, extra lemony you can add more lemon.
You can use this same sauce as a dip too. When you make it in the blender, it becomes quite thin and runny. To make it a dip, or a sauce for sandwiches or wraps, you need to make it a little thicker. Instead of blending the sauce, you can whisk everything in a bowl. I'd also refrain from adding any other liquid.
The dip is so good to serve with potato chips (my favorite way), fries, roasted potatoes, or with a Crudités platter.
If you want to make it ahead, I advise making it a maximum of a day or two ahead. I don't usually make it ahead, but I always make a lot so I can have leftovers for days. It stays fresh for 2 - 3 days in the refrigerator. It doesn't honestly go bad after that, but the dill flavor dissipates, and the color of the sauce turns dull. Also you'd notice that the yogurt separates a little bit. You'll see some foam on the top as well. So make sure to stir or shake the jar well to mix the sauce again, and it should be fine.
This sauce is so versatile. You can use it in so many ways.
My favorite way is to serve with salmon. I like it with baked salmon or top a salad with salmon bites and then drizzle with the lemon dill sauce. It's so good with salmon rice bowls as well.
This sauce also goes well with chicken. Serve with grilled/ baked or rotisserie chicken to add flavor, freshness, and tang. It's also great with chicken wings.
You can also use the sauce in your wraps (pita wraps are my favorite), sandwiches, and quesadillas.

Add yogurt, garlic, lemon, milk, black pepper, salt, and honey into the blender jar and blend for about 15 seconds until everything is mixed well. (Do not blend too much, as the sauce can get too frothy)
Add dill to the blender jar and pulse the blender for 3 - 4 times until dill is mixed into the sauce (do not blend too much after you add dill, it can make the sauce green, and dill pieces will disappear)
You can serve it immediately, but it's best to refrigerate it for a few hours for the flavors to meld.
