Corn on the cob is probably one of the easiest sides I’ve ever made in my Air Fryer. I just shuck the corn, wrap them in foil so they don’t dry out, and then air fry. Once they are done, I apply butter, sprinkle some salt and pepper, and that’s it. You get this delicious, juicy, buttery corn on the cob that no one would ever say no to.

Why I love making Corn on the cob in the air fryer

I’m not a fan of standing by the stove and waiting for the water to boil. I like that I can pop them into the air fryer, set the timer, and forget about it. I know you can do that with your oven as well. But trust me, using an air fryer is much quicker. Plus, I don’t have to worry about heating my whole house in the summer.

You can make them without wrapping them in the foil as well. That way, they turn somewhat like grilled or roasted corn.

Flavor Ideas:

For this recipe, I keep it very basic and simple. I just use salt and pepper as my seasonings. But you can use this same air fryer recipe to make corn on the cob with different flavors. Here are a few of my favorites

Elote style corn – Brush with some Mayo. Top with cotija cheese and sprinkle some chili powder (or store-bought elote seasoning). Some people like to add lime as well.

Cajun flavored corn – Brush with butter and then top with cajun seasoning for a spicy kick.

Parmesan Black pepper corn – Brush with mayo and add lots of Parmesan cheese and black pepper.

Garlic butter corn – This one is simple. Brush the corn with melted garlic butter and sprinkle some salt.

Reheating corn on the cob in the air fryer

It’s so easy to reheat them in the air fryer. You just have to follow the same steps you did to cook them. Just re-wrap in a foil. Then air-fry for about 4 minutes at 360°F. I usually don’t take the corns out of the foil, unless we don’t eat them right away. I refrigerate the leftovers with the foil so they don’t dry out, and it’s easier for me to reheat them.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Remove the husks and the silk from corn. (Rinse if necessary and pat dry with paper towels.)

  2. Wrap each ear of corn tightly in a piece of aluminum foil. (If you prefer a more roasted flavor with lightly charred kernels, you can skip the foil and air fry the corn uncovered.)

  3. Air fry for 15 minutes at 390°F.  (You might need more time if you have bigger ears, so adjust time accordingly)

  4. When the corns are cooked, unwrap the foil, rub a stick of butter all over each ear of corn, sprinkle salt and pepper, and serve warm. (If you're planning to serve them later, you can re-wrap them in foil and leave them in the air fryer, and they stay warm for a long time without drying)
